I have made lots of sacrifices to play polo and have no personal life: Rinaa Shah
In polo, a time-out occurs when there is a foul or an untoward episode during the match. But for Rinaa Shah, player and team owner, a setback in married life has not dented her passion for the game. If anything, it has spurred her on, evidence of which was on display at the recently concluded Rinaldi Polo Cup tournament in Jaipur.

Says Shah, who is also a fashion designer, "I have made lots of sacrifices to play polo and have no personal life at all." Now in her early 40s, she says she invests the bulk of her working day to the game as polo is a sport that demands high physical fitness and energy levels. Her plan for next year includes gearing up to play international tournaments along with her team. "I do not have a social life. No late nights as I have to wake up early morning for practice," says Shah, who ensures she eats right, sleeps enough and practices yoga for the body and mind. "Not even a day goes by when I am not spending my li fe on polo," adds Shah who is satisfied with her professional growth, and al so intends expanding her clothing line and its distribution in the export markets.

Unwilling to dwell on her short-lived marriage and the events leading to the split, Shah only sets the record straight on her current status. "I am single now," she reveals. Shah was married to Mumbai-based businessman Sanjay Jindal earlier this year.
