‘Fighter’ hits theatres: Hrithik Roshan-starrer expected to collect Rs 25 cr on day 1

The wait is finally over!

‘Fighter’, the much anticipated Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone-starrer hit the big screens on January 25, just a day before Republic Day.

Touted to be Bollywood’s first-ever aerial drama, the movie has garnered praise for high-octane action sequences and Roshan’s earnest performance.


Taking to X (formerly Twitter), trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh called the movie ‘brilliant’. Given it a spectacular four and a half stars, he described it as a “king-sized entertainer’’ whose USP was Roshan’s brilliant turn as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania aka Patty. He also showered praise on Anil Kapoor and Padukone for doing a commendable job.

Another shared a clip of Squadron Leader Patty in action and wrote that Roshan’s entry in the movie was “goosebump inducing.”

As per a report by the Indian box-office tracking portal Sacnilk.com, the aerial drama is expected to earn Rs 25 crore on the day of release.
