Hrithik Roshan rated lower in looks than Naga Chaitanya by Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Why was she not impressed by the 'Greek God'

An old interview of actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has resurfaced online, catching widespread attention for her candid opinions about several Bollywood actors, including Hrithik Roshan. The video clip, which originally aired on Sakshi TV, was recently shared by a Reddit user, reigniting discussions around Samantha's on-screen preferences and personal choices.

During the interview, Samantha was asked to rate several Indian actors based on their appearance. She gave Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu a perfect score, stating, “Rate? Mahesh Babu? 10 on 10! I don’t even have to think.” When the interviewer brought up Hrithik Roshan, Samantha responded, “Hrithik, you know, everybody will kill me, but I don’t like Hrithik’s looks too much. Okay, like seven on 10.” Her remark stands out considering Hrithik’s long-standing reputation as Bollywood’s ‘Greek God’ for his chiseled physique and widely admired looks.

Naga Chaitanya, Ranbir, and Shahid Also Rated

Samantha went on to rate her former husband, actor Naga Chaitanya, a full 10 on 10. The couple had first met on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010 and eventually married in 2017. However, their marriage ended in divorce four years later, with Chaitanya confirming the separation was finalized legally in 2023.

For actor Ranbir Kapoor, Samantha offered an 8 out of 10, while her views on Shahid Kapoor showed a transformation in perception. “Shahid Kapoor, before Kaminey, four on 10; after Kaminey, nine on 10,” she said. Her responses reflected a clear shift in admiration based on the actors’ evolving on-screen images.

Upcoming Projects of Samantha and Hrithik

On the professional front, Samantha is currently working on Rakht Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, a fantasy action series directed by Raj & DK. The show promises an intense narrative filled with visual spectacle and drama. Additionally, she will return in The Family Man Season 3, starring Manoj Bajpayee and others, which is slated for release later this year.

Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for the release of War 2, an action thriller directed by Ayan Mukerji. The film also features Jr NTR and Kiara Advani and is set to hit theatres on August 14. Notably, it will mark Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut. Post this release, Hrithik is expected to begin work on Krrish 4, in which he will serve as both the lead actor and director.

Samantha was last seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny, an Indian adaptation of the American spy thriller Citadel starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. However, the second season of the Indian version has been cancelled.

Instead, its narrative will now merge with the global version in its upcoming season. Reflecting on the series, Samantha previously spoke about the evolving roles of women in Indian cinema, emphasizing her commitment to choosing characters that reflect strength and complexity.
