HP for on its image to attract the younger audience
Early evening on Wednesday, HP unveiled its latest range of Notebooks at a hip restobar in Mumbai, with musician duo Midival Punditz manning the console.

The choice of venue was unconventional, as Ketan Patel, director, personal systems, PPS, HP India said. But it was picked keeping in mind the young vibe that the device maker was hoping to put out.

HP has long suffered from an image overhang, being viewed as a serious, for the old IT consultants kind of brand. But these new Notebooks are targeted at a younger audience, a mix of millennia’s, gamers and professionals.

HP has also tied up with Bang & Olufsen for sound and design. As their Chief Marketing Officer Lloyd Mathias put it, "Hey, we are ready for the 19-year-olds too."
