How sisters Simone Arora, Farah Khan Ali and Sussanne Khan avoid sibling rivalry
Sisters Simone Arora, Farah Khan Ali and Sussanne Khan are all doyens of design. Their inspiration, they have often said, comes from their mom Zarine Khan, who is an interior designer turned cook book author. With so many designers under one roof, one must imagine high levels of competition and rivalry among the siblings. But Arora is quick to dismiss the thought.

She says that all of them have varied tastes, thus reducing conflict. "Farah is into jewellery designing which is a different ball game altogether. Sussanne and I are into interiors, but my taste bends heavily towards neutral and natural spaces while she can get avant-garde. There is no question of rivalry, in fact, we refer our clients to each other," says Arora. One glimpse into Sussanne's store The Charcoal Project and Arora's eponymous interior store, which recently celebrated its first anniversary, and we tend to agree with Arora.
