During an interview with Mashable magazine, the actor from 'Newton' revealed that his inspiration to purchase such a lavish home came from none other than the iconic King Khan of Bollywood.
Ace actor Rajkummar Rao, is now the proud owner of a palatial bungalow worth a whopping Rs 44 crore! In an interview with the magazine Mashable, the ‘Newton’ actor said that he was inspired by none other than King Khan of Bollywood to buy such an expensive home!

Shah Rukh sir taught me one thing: ‘Beta kabhi bhi ghar lega na, toh aukaat se thoda zyaada lena. Kyunki phir na, upar wala bhi dekhta hai aur tu khud bhi zyada mehnat karega (Son, if you are planning to purchase a house, make sure to buy one a bit above your means, that will encourage you to work hard and earn more!)

According to an Indian Express report, the house is 3456 square feet and was previously owned by his ‘Roohi’ and ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ co-star Janhvi Kapoor, who bought it in 2020 for Rs 39 crore. The bungalow has three floors.


In the same interview, the actor admitted that having such a luxurious home at the heart of the city is a dream come true for any actor. “Having a home in the city is, of course, a dream, and we have built it with love, Patralekhaa and I. Now, after pack-up, we just run to our home."

On the work front, Rao has an interesting line-up of movies. He will next be seen in the biopic ‘Srikanth’. The movie traces the life and journey of Srikanth Bolla, the founder and chairman of Bollant Industries. Born visually impaired, he went on to become the first international blind student at the prestigious MIT School Of Management. Next, he will be reuniting with his ‘Roohi’ co-star Janhvi Kapoor for the romantic sports drama movie ‘Mr & Mrs. Mahi’. He will also be headlining ‘Stree 2’, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit comedy horror ‘Stree’. Lastly, he will pair up with ‘Animal’ star & current ‘National Crush’, Tripti Dimri for the romantic comedy ‘Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video’.
