How Roger Federer and Anna Wintour became friends
Like most tennis lovers, the editor-in-chief of Vogue is transfixed by the elegance of the tennis player's game.

With the US Open on in New York, a tennis portal ran a series of articles on the relationship between the city and Federer. Wintour contributed a piece. "I first met Roger Federer over lunch in the summer of 2005," she writes.
"He was in town to win the U.S. Open, and a mutual friend had arranged for us to meet at Pastis, knowing that I was a fan. But 'fan' is quite an understatement."
Like most tennis lovers, Wintour is transfixed by the elegance of Federer's game, nothing less, nothing more. "All I want to ever discuss with Roger is tennis: his tennis, other players, the next Slam," she writes.
"But he wants to talk more about fashion." Let us know your next date, so we can be invisible flies on the glasses of Dom.
