How Generic Engineering Construction & Projects grew from Rs 37.92 cr to Rs 138.32 cr in a year

With a stellar 4Q, the company is gearing up for a stronger order book.

Generic Engineering Construction & Projects Ltd (BSE: 539407) has some good news in store. In the recently released fourth quarter and annual results, the company reported 264.74 per cent revenue growth year-on-year from Rs 37.92 crore to Rs 138.32 crore. EBIDTA stood at Rs 19.58 crore in comparison to Rs 2.47 crore last year — a 693.73 per cent.

The company’s business model has covered the entire gamut of general contracting, design build, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and project management consultancy. It has a portfolio of offerings including residential, commercial, educational, mass housing, industrial, medical, IT parks, cold storage and service facility centres.

Commenting on the result, Manish Ravilal Patel, MD, Generic Engineering Construction & Projects Ltd, said the entire leadership of the company was excited with the overall profit, which grew by 100 per cent quarter-on-quarter. “This is owing to the execution of high-margin projects in industrial and commercial segments. Our current order book of about Rs 534 crore will be executed over the next one-and-a-half year.


At the same time, we have strong order visibility and are cautiously and meticulously building our order book,” he said. The board of directors have recommended a final dividend and has also approved subdivision of one equity share of face value Rs 10 each into two equity share of face value of Rs 5 each.
