On the special occasion, Dharma Productions released a series of voice records of the lead stars from Kapoor & Sons, where the cast recalled their experience on the sets. Alia Bhatt joined the bandwagon, sharing her experience of filming the peppy track Kar Gaye Chull from the movie.

In the snippet, Alia Bhatt was heard saying that her first day of shoot was for Kar Gaye Chull, acknowledging gleefully that the song turned out to be a big hit. The Jigra actress revealed that she genuinely danced her heart out on the party anthem, not solely for the camera but because she was truly enjoying the moment. The song sequence was not at all ‘performative’, as Alia admitted to having a ‘great time’ vibing on the energetic ambience created by Kapoor & Sons’ director Shakun Batra.
Alia Bhatt also remembered shooting outdoors in Coonoor, the misty hill station of Tamil Nadu. ‘Even though I had shot on and off, I just stayed on,’ confessed the National Award-winner, adding that she soaked in the beauty of the destination by staying in the place for the entire schedule. Besides the leading trio, Kapoor & Sons also featured Ratna Pathak Shah and Rajat Kapoor.
