Russell Brand just confessed that after his split with Jemima Khan, what he misses the most is her dog Brian.

He behaved like a lovesick puppy around her, so on Aishwarya Rai’s 30th birthday, he gave her 30 gifts. Amongst them was a female boxer named Sunshine. When Rai moved on, she took Sunshine out of Oberoi’s life.



Britney Spears & Kevin Federline

Not only did he get custody of their sons in 2007, but Federline also fought for Spears’s Yorkshire terrier called London. Just as well — PETA named her the worst celebrity dog owner for toting London around as a fashion accessory.



Drew Barrymore & Tom Green

One of the shortest celebrity marriages (six months!) ended with America’s sweetheart fighting that MTV guy over Flossie, their Labrador. Green had to give in and Barrymore reportedly spread Flossie’s ashes over the Ganges when the dog died in 2010.



Kirsten Stewart & Robert Pattinson

Millions of tweens went into mourning when the Twilight stars split, but R Patz and K Stew were more hung up over their dog Bear. Pattinson adopted the mixed breed mutt from a shelter, but Stewart felt Bear was her baby too. Finally, the dog went with Team Edward.



Elin Nordegren & Tiger Woods

When Woods’s dog deeds got out in the open, the golfer and his wife Elin Nordegren split. The two fought bitterly over the custody of their labradoodle Yogi and border collie Taz. She got a landmark $110 million alimony, but the status of their pets is still fuzzy.
