Bindra (R) presented Goenka (L) with a gun with which he won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and then used at the 2016 Olympics.
Some have noticed a resemblance between Harsh Goenka and Francis Ford Coppola, the director of 'The Godfather'. The RPG Group chairman also has an excuse to deliver one of the film’s famous lines – “Leave the gun, take the cannoli.”
Abhinav Bindra, India’s lone individual Olympic gold medal-list, once visited Goenka’s lair in Worli, Mumbai, which is stocked with sports memorabilia.
There was nothing of Bindra’s there.
A few days later, he presented Goenka with a gun with which he won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and then used at the 2016 Olympics.
Bindra (in pic) is impressed by Harsh Goenka's work philosophy. “Abhinav Bindra came to my office and said, ‘Why is my gun not there?’,” Goenka told ETPanache during an event in Mumbai.

“He said he had two guns, one which he gave to the Olympic Museum and one to me. It was so kind of him.” ETPanache contacted Bindra and asked him what prompted him to present Goenka with a gun.
“He is a collector and someone who would appreciate it,” Bindra responded over text. “I met him [Goenka] first at an auction. Had lunch with him recently and was impressed by his work philosophy.”
Goenka’s collection spans countries and sports. Not long after this year’s exciting
Wimbledon final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, he dropped an autographed picture of the finalists on Twitter. The photograph was from his collection. A memorabilia from Goenka's collection signed by Usain Bolt.

“I’m a sucker for memorabilia,” Goenka said, talking about his treasure trove.
“Starting from [Muhammad] Ali’s gloves to Don Bradman’s items to [Michael] Phelps, Usain Bolt... the stumps from the tied Test [are some of the things I have]. There is also a book signed by Roger Bannister. I have acquired the items from auctions and friends.”.

“It’s not a person but an entity called QIL. It’s based on a BBC quiz show I used to watch called QI [run by Stephen Fry] and they tweet some really interesting stuff each day. If you look at my timeline, you’ll see I retweet a few of their tweets. Recently, they had tweeted a quote from Stephen Hawking, which said that even those who believe in destiny, look before they cross the road. I thought that was a very quantum observation, so I retweeted it.”
