For 'Homeland' fans, January 15 is the D-Day! That's when the Season 6 will be premiered. And if the trailer of Season 6 which is out, is anything to go by, looks like "all bets are off" in this series.

In the new season, the multi-award winning series will get a new location. While the last season had a Berlin backdrop and touched upon the growing menace of ISIS with agent Peter Quinn (played by Rupert Friend) trying to breach the ranks of the terror module, season 6 promises to take the action to New York. The minute-long teaser, which had a recap of the previous seasons and 5 in particular, closes with an aerial shot of New York City as a tease. With the US elections looming large over the American horizon, it looks natural for the creators to go Westward!

'Homeland' has won over 40 awards across its five seasons and truly epitomizes the perfect political thriller. Through the life and antics of Carrie Mathison (a bipolar CIA agent played by Claire Danes) and others of her ilk, 'Homeland' has managed to keep the interest alive, drawing the personal, public and the political together.

Developed by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, the political thriller is based on the original Israeli series "Prisoners of War" by Gideon Raff.
