Ankit Pandey, a social media user, shared the story on X while explaining how his friend transformed her career and income through a cloud kitchen business. According to Pandey, his friend was living alone in Varanasi and surviving by teaching home tuition to children. Every day, she spent nearly four to five hours teaching students but earned only around Rs 9,000 per month despite the exhausting routine.
Pandey explained that her financial condition remained stressful even after working consistently. She had to manage rent, food, electricity bills, and other day-to-day expenses entirely on her own while living away from her family. Even after putting in long hours, she sometimes still needed financial help from her father to cover basic needs.
“This is why working harder is not always the answer,” Pandey wrote in his post. He said he noticed something important about her during that period. Apart from teaching, she was also an excellent cook. According to him, her food had genuine potential and could become the foundation of a business rather than just a hobby.

Pandey recalled giving her one major piece of advice: “Stop selling time for money.” Instead of depending only on tuition income, he suggested that she start a cloud kitchen business. There were days when the business received no orders at all. On some days, the kitchen managed to get only one or two customers. For many people, such slow beginnings would have been enough reason to quit. But according to Pandey, his friend remained patient and continued working consistently despite the uncertainty. Over time, things slowly started improving. Orders through food delivery platforms gradually increased as more customers began trying the food.Pandey said people appreciated both the quality and pricing of the meals, which helped the business build regular customers through word-of-mouth and repeat orders. As demand grew, she expanded the menu and eventually hired a local chef to manage operations more efficiently. Today, the cloud kitchen reportedly receives around 15 to 20 customers every day on a consistent basis.
Even after covering all operational costs, she reportedly manages to save nearly Rs 60,000 every month. For the woman who once struggled to survive on Rs 9,000 from tuition work, the transformation has been life-changing. “The same person who once struggled for Rs 9,000 through exhausting tuitions is now planning business expansion and living like a real entrepreneur,” Pandey wrote. He concluded the post by saying that a single smart decision can completely reshape someone’s financial future.
