Monkey Bar, for starters, has added six new cocktails in support of team India. You can try the ‘hit wicket’, the ‘hi-score rum’ or the ‘gin swing’ – all a glistening shade of blue. Bootlegger is offering 10% discount on the bill for all tables on the day team India wins matches. For the big India vs Pakistan clash on June 16, the restobar will offer a blue vodka shot free for every wicket India takes.

“Both our outlets were fully booked ahead of the India-South Africa clash, and these offers are expected to do very well. It’s always nice to add such offers and themes. While IPL season wasn’t great for business this year, we are hoping the World Cup holds up,” Shreyas Patel, cofounder, Bootlegger says.
Cocktail bar Three Dots and a Dash has also gone all out with its menu with Caribbean fried chicken, South African bunny chow, Aussie salt pepper calamari and vada pav for team India. Levitate Brewery & Kitchen has cricket fans chugging beer to score runs, where every 500 ml downed means four runs. The highest scoring team of beer chuggers wins a cash prize.
The Watson’s outlets have added a special pizza selection dedicated to the playing teams, complete with catchy names and ingredients reminiscent of their homes. The ‘English summer’ pizza comes with a topping of cherry tomatoes, olives, onion and peppers. They also have others like the ‘paprika Proteas’, the ‘Black Caps’, the ‘Bangla’, and for the new kid on the block, the ‘Afghan’, featuring lamb koftas.
“Pizzas are crowd-pleasers and the themed names are a value addition. With India having just started its World Cup campaign, we expect many youngsters to troop in,” Amit Roy, partner at Watsons, says.
