Here is why Sasha Mirchandani prefers buying second-hand cars
Sasha Mirchandani, MD, Kae Capital
“At that point (when I bought the car), I couldn’t (afford a first-hand model.) And secondly, even if I can buy a first-hand car, I’ve realised now that it (the second-hand car) has so much more value.

A new car depreciates so fast, that why bother with buying a new car? And my hero, Warren Buffett, he always buys second-hand cars. It’s not like I will never buy new cars again. But if I get good deals, I’ll just buy a second-hand car.

About societal expectations, if people don’t want to associate with me for something like buying a second hand car, then those people are not worth meeting up with anyway. They are looking at you only for material goods, not for who I am. Most people don’t really bother. My good friends find it funny. The smart people appreciate it.”.
