Everyone expects the overexposed, selfi eloving reality star to turn up in something sultry, leaving little to the imagination. Instead, it would be a pleasant Halloween surprise to see her turn up as the innocent and folksy all-American heroine.



David Cameron as William Wallace in Braveheart

Cameron and the UK almost lost Scotland this year but were saved by last-minute desperate pandering. The Scots kept their end of the bargain and now it’s the Prime Minister’s turn to repay them with this symbolic gesture.


Rahul Gandhi as a Mummy

This is a costume that would work on so many levels — Gandhi’s been accused of staying mum a lot, he is yet to break out of his mummy’s shadow and if things go the way they have been, he might be digging his political grave.



Rekha as Cher

Ageing divas with a penchant for camp, these two could just as well be alter egos. There’s a wide range of Cher avatars to pick from, but our personal favourite is the platinum blonde-space-druid-alien (who can tell with Cher, really?) from her hit song ‘Believe’.

Given Suarez’s antics at the World Cup, a more appropriate costume for him might have been Hannibal Lector. However, in the interest of resurrecting his image, the footballer is better off slapping a muzzle on and staying far, far away from Italian defenders.
