Heartbreak for Rakhi Sawant? Dodi Khan says he can't marry her, makes an emotional promise

Dodi Khan has dismissed the speculation surrounding his marriage to Rakhi Sawant. On Thursday, the Pakistani actor and police official addressed the rumors through a video on social media, clarifying that while he did propose to Rakhi, they are not planning to get married. He expressed his admiration for her, highlighting the struggles she has endured and emphasizing that her resilience is what drew him to her.

“Hello India and Pakistan, this is Dodi Khan. A few days ago, a video of mine surfaced on social media where I was seen proposing to Rakhi Sawant. I proposed to her because I know her well. As I got to know her, I realized that she is deeply devoted to God. She has faced numerous challenges in life—losing her parents yet standing by them during their illnesses. A man entered her life, and everyone knows how he treated her. She endured immense trauma, yet she emerged stronger. She embraced Islam, performed Umrah, and changed her name to Fatima. That touched me deeply, which is why I proposed to her," Dodi stated in Hindi.

Despite his fondness for Rakhi, Dodi acknowledged that his being from Pakistan might make their marriage unacceptable to many. Given the backlash he has received, he revealed that while he will not be marrying Rakhi, he is committed to ensuring that she finds a suitable match in Pakistan.


“I don’t think this will be acceptable to people because I have received many messages and videos, and I cannot bear it. So, Rakhi ji, you are a dear friend and will always be. While you may not become my bride, I assure you that you will be the daughter-in-law of Pakistan. I will personally see to it that you marry one of my brothers," he added.

Earlier this week, Rakhi Sawant had claimed in an exclusive statement to News18 Showsha that she was set to marry Dodi Khan. She declared, “He is my love. We love each other. He is from Pakistan. I am from India, so we will have a love marriage.”

Rakhi was previously married to Adil Khan Durrani, but their relationship ended in 2023. Before Adil, she was also in a marital relationship with Ritesh Raj Singh, whom she introduced on Bigg Boss 15. However, their union was short-lived, and they separated shortly after the reality show concluded in February 2022.
