Virat Kohli’s foodie habits before Anushka Sharma
Arun Chauhan, who has worked closely with top cricketers, recently appeared on Vaarun Tiwari’s podcast, where he made the revelation. Sharing Virat Kohli’s past food habits, the celebrity chef noted that the cricketer used to be a die-hard foodie, often indulging in a plate of savoury chole bhature or a warm bowl of comforting rajma-chawal.
Virat Kohli even had non-veg meals, disclosed Arun Chauhan, adding that whenever the cricketer stayed at hotels, he mostly ate similar dishes. On top of that, Virat did not follow any strict diet and used to eat ‘absolutely anything’. But his lifestyle choices underwent a 360-degree makeover after he met Anushka Sharma.
Virat Kohli’s zero-fat diet
Since Virat Kohli is a huge fan of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, Arun Chauhan said that Virat is now determined to achieve a zero-fat diet. After becoming a vegetarian, the cricketer started adopting a slightly vegan lifestyle, noted the chef. He swapped paneer for tofu, completely giving up on dairy products. Apart from that, Virat also consumes plant-based foods like salads, sprouts, pulses and English vegetables, including lettuce.
Back in 2020, Virat Kohli, in a conversation with Vogue, talked about his vegetarian journey, crediting his wife for bringing positive changes into his life. The cricketer pointed out that Anushka Sharma had been a vegetarian for 4 years, and he too adopted the same practice in 2018 for health reasons. Virat also admitted that since Anushka is a big-time animal-lover, he too refuses to eat any type of meat anymore.

The couple has now been married for almost 9 years and shares 2 kids, daughter Vamika and son Akaay.
