When Two Brothers Came To Blows
In his book, Harry claimed that William physically attacked him during an argument. The two had a spat over Harry’s wife American actress Meghan Markle. William initiated the fight by calling Meghan "difficult", "rude" and "abrasive". Harry countered that he was mistaken and was “parroting the press narrative” about the ‘Suits’ star. The spat took an uglier turn when the siblings came to blows. According to Harry, the elder prince grabbed him by the collar and knocked him to the floor. “ I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out," he stated.
The brawl had reportedly left the younger prince with a visible back injury.
Although the siblings were close once, cracks appeared in their relationship when Harry renounced his royal title in 2020 and moved to California, USA with his wife. The rift intensified when the couple dropped several bombshells about the royal family during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The no-holds-barred biography will be released on January 10. The book highlights the younger prince's frustrations at being considered a perpetual after-thought. In the eyes of Harry, the royal family is guilty of showing favouritism to Prince William and ignoring him as he was the second born.
