HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh, JSW Steel CMD Sajjan Jindal, others spotted at charity art auction in Mumbai

Neurology Foundation, founded by Dr Bhim Singhal, held its maiden charity art auction last Friday at a South Mumbai five-star hotel.

Dinesh Vazirani, co-founder of Saffronart, conducted the auction, that included 14 lots, a mix of paintings and sculptures.

Attendees could also adopt ‘pledges’, choosing from six causes and donating a specific amount towards their pledge of choice.

The event’s main patrons were corporate heavyweights, HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh and JSW Steel CMD, Sajjan Jindal.

We hear they didn’t take home any art that evening, choosing pledges instead. Anyway, their names on the event invite were sufficient to ensure that the evening was a well-attended do.
