Having sex once a week is enough for couples
The study found that even daily intercourse doesn’t correlate with marital bliss & happiness wasn’t directly proportional to sex.

A new study by the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, which surveyed the sex lives of 30,000 Americans across the course of four decades, has finally revealed the answer. So how often should you get freaky between the sheets? Once a week is sufficient, researchers said. The study found that even daily intercourse doesn’t correlate with marital bliss and that happiness wasn’t directly proportional to the amount of sex.
"Although more frequent sex is associated with greater happiness, this link was no longer significant at a frequency of more than once a week," lead researcher Amy Muise said. The more a couple has sex, the lesser is the desire to have sex.
The study also revealed that the happiest couples have sex just once a week on an average. "Our findings suggest that it’s important to maintain an intimate connection with your partner, but you don’t need to have sex everyday as long as you’re maintaining that connection," Muise said. In essence, sex does not a marriage make.
