In a conversation, he told ET Panache how he started indulging in these hobbies. "As a management consultant, which was a high-profile and seemingly stressful profile, finding avenues for de-stressing was important. As part of my assignments, I moved to Vancouver and then to Singapore. As a city, Vancouver offered the conveniences of taking up sports like vertical marathon, off-road cycling and roller-blading.
"When I moved to Singapore, I continued to use weekends for these sports and even represented my company in several of these activities. As I moved to other countries, I picked up interesting activities on the way. And on my return to India, I continued with cycling, super–biking, DIY and swimming," he said.
Picking up things to keep his weekends occupied and destress was possibly an easy path, but the athlete in Lewis pushed him to take up more activities and step out of bed on Sunday mornings.
"Some people use Sundays to ease in and relax and it works for them. For me, having a goal and a reason on Sunday mornings that is not work related is a great stress-buster and brings a break in the daily routine," the Mumbai-based firm involved in installing renewable energy solutions said.
Lewis's wife, Dr. Reema, is a fellow sports enthusiast and has been his constant partner in these activities, be it cycling and off-roading.

"Our last off-roading trip was to the jungles of Yawal and to Chari Dhand which is a bird-watcher's paradise in Kutch. I continue to do off-beat cycling runs on my Cannondale 29er. This beauty takes me on paths-less-trodden, including the mangrove trails of Navi Mumbai and Panvel area.
"On these super-biking runs, my partners whom I trust my life with are my fellow riders from L.O.S.T (League of Sports Tourers). We are not the blazing fast bikers but we use our machines to travel distances and explore," he concluded.
