Harish Salve, former solicitor general of India, weds in London; Nita Ambani, Lalit Modi attend private ceremony

News website India Today reported that the lawyer had made it official with a woman named Trina. The nuptials, a private affair, were attended by Nita Ambani, Lalit Modi, and Ujjwala Raut among others.
Sunil Mittal, LN Mittal, SP Lohia, and Gopi Hinduja were among the other prominent businessmen who attended the reception.
A video posted on Twitter shows the couple beaming as they exchange vows. The bride looks resplendent in a green gown while Salve is attired in a white suit.
"In the presence of our family & friends, I Trina, take you Harish, to be my wedded husband. To love and to cherish, for the rest of our lives together," said Trina, as she repeated her wedding vows.
Salve has made headlines for his legal acumen over the decades. Some of his notable cases include his representation of Kulbhushan Jadhav, who faced a death sentence by a Pakistani military court on espionage charges. He charged a nominal fee of Rs 1 for representing Jadhav.
Salve's clientele includes some of India's leading corporate entities like Tata Group, Reliance Industries headed by Mukesh Ambani, and ITC Group.
He also played a pivotal role in the Krishna Godavari Basin gas dispute case against Anil Ambani's Reliance Natural Resources Ltd. Salve gained recognition for arguing the first anti-dumping case in India's Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, former IPL chairman Lalit Modi’s presence at Salve's wedding ceremony has stirred political controversy, drawing flak from opposition parties.
Modi, who lives in London, left India in 2010 amid investigations into alleged money-laundering and tax evasion.
According to a Free Press Journal report, Trina is a British woman of Afghan origin.
