Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated Telugu historical drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu made its theatrical debut on July 24, 2025. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna, the film featured an ensemble cast including Pawan Kalyan, Bobby Deol, and Nidhhi Agerwal. Despite the star power and extensive promotions—rare for Pawan Kalyan, who is usually low-key about film publicity—the movie received a lukewarm response from critics and audiences.

According to Sacnilk, the film collected ₹84.3 crore net in India and ₹113.85 crore worldwide. Given the high budget and production delays, the earnings were viewed as underwhelming. Many pointed to weak visual effects and a disjointed screenplay, particularly in the second half, as reasons for the disappointment.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu OTT Release Details

The official social media handle of Hari Hara Veera Mallu confirmed that the film will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting August 20. The announcement described the movie as a tale of “rebellion, rage, and righteousness,” highlighting that the theatrical storm would now continue on streaming screens. The film will premiere in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, though there has been no confirmation on Hindi and Kannada versions.


The streaming version will reportedly include edits made after the theatrical release, with some sequences trimmed based on audience feedback. Speculation also suggests that previously deleted scenes, including parts of the climax, may feature in the digital cut.

Story and Performances

Hari Hara Veera Mallu follows the journey of an outlaw, Veera Mallu (played by Pawan Kalyan), who sets out on a daring mission to retrieve the Koh-i-Noor diamond from Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, portrayed by Bobby Deol. The film also features Sachin Khedekar, Raghubabu, Subbaraju, and Sunil in supporting roles, with music composed by Academy Award winner M.M. Keeravani.

In an earlier interaction with The Hindu, Pawan Kalyan explained that the film faced multiple setbacks due to the pandemic and his political commitments. While Krish Jagarlamudi initially helmed the project, Jyothi Krishna eventually completed the direction with the support of producer A.M. Rathnam.
