Hanuman Ansh was released on August 7, 2026, and now, more than a month after its release, the movie based on Neem Karoli Baba is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. However, its theatrical run has been anything but ordinary. Theatres are seeing strong occupancy, while the box office numbers continue to break records. What makes the figures even more remarkable is the film's reported Rs 2 crore budget. It has not only crossed the Rs 100 crore net milestone but has also delivered a fifth weekend bigger than those of both Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2.

Here are seven major records broken by Hanuman Ansh.

1. Hanuman Ansh beats Dhurandhar 2

Hanuman Ansh has recorded the biggest fifth weekend in Hindi cinema, surpassing both Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2. According to the box-office figures provided by Sacnilk.com, the film collected around Rs 49.25 crore net across its fifth Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

In comparison, Dhurandhar collected Rs 33.25 crore during its fifth weekend, while Dhurandhar 2 earned Rs 12.55 crore. This means Hanuman Ansh was ahead of Dhurandhar by around Rs 16 crore and earned nearly four times as much as Dhurandhar 2 during the same stage of their theatrical runs.

2. Biggest fifth Friday in Hindi cinema

The film also set a record for the biggest fifth Friday in Hindi cinema. Hanuman Ansh collected approximately Rs 10 crore net on the first day of its fifth weekend. The figure put the film ahead of the earlier benchmark set by Dhurandhar. The achievement is particularly notable because Hanuman Ansh had started its theatrical journey with a modest Rs 10 lakh opening day collection before gaining momentum several weeks into its run.

3. Biggest fifth Saturday in Hindi cinema

The record-breaking run continued on Saturday. Hanuman Ansh collected around Rs 16.50 crore net on its fifth Saturday, according to the figures provided. The film comfortably moved past Dhurandhar, which had earned Rs 11.75 crore on its fifth Saturday. The jump shows how strongly Hanuman Ansh continued to perform even after spending more than a month in theatres.

4. Biggest fifth Sunday in Hindi cinema

Sunday brought another major record for the Neem Karoli Baba film. Hanuman Ansh collected approximately Rs 22.75 crore net on its fifth Sunday, making it the biggest fifth Sunday collection in Hindi cinema based on the figures provided. For comparison, Dhurandhar had collected Rs 12.75 crore on its fifth Sunday. Hanuman Ansh therefore managed to nearly double that number, giving it a huge boost to its fifth-weekend total.

5. Smallest Hindi film to enter the Rs 100 crore club

One of the biggest milestones in the film's journey came when Hanuman Ansh entered the Rs 100 crore net club. According to the information provided, it crossed the milestone on its 31st day. Made on a reported budget of only Rs 2 crore, the film became the smallest Hindi film to reach the Rs 100 crore net mark, surpassing the earlier benchmark associated with The Kashmir Files, which reportedly had a Rs 15 crore budget.

6. First Hindi film to cross Rs 100 crore after opening below Rs 1 crore

Hanuman Ansh also created another unusual box-office record with its opening figure. The film started with just Rs 10 lakh net on its first day, but eventually crossed Rs 100 crore in India.

According to the figures provided, it is the first Hindi film to enter the Rs 100 crore net club after opening below the Rs 1 crore mark. Its journey from a Rs 10 lakh opening to a nine-figure domestic total makes its theatrical performance particularly striking.

7. Highest return on investment in Hindi cinema

Perhaps the most remarkable record attached to Hanuman Ansh is its reported return on investment. With a reported production budget of only Rs 2 crore, the film crossed Rs 123 crore net in India within 31 days.

The figures later showed the film crossing the Rs 150 crore net milestone. According to the Day 34 figures provided, Hanuman Ansh had reached Rs 153.13 crore net in India, while its India gross stood at Rs 180.95 crore.

The film's success becomes even more notable when compared with its slow start. On Day 26, Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 8.50 crore net, narrowly beating Toxic, which earned Rs 8.20 crore that day. This happened despite Toxic running in five languages and playing on significantly more screens.

Written, directed and produced by Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is a biographical devotional drama based on Neem Karoli Baba. The film stars Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand and follows the story of Lakshmi Narayan, a young boy living in pre-Independence India. It is planned as the first part of a trilogy based on Chaturvedi's book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life.

From a Rs 10 lakh opening to a Rs 150 crore-plus domestic total, Hanuman Ansh has turned into one of the most unexpected box-office stories of 2026.
