Hania Aamir’s India link faces backlash from Pakistani actress Nadia Khan. 'She is wasting her time'

Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has seen a major rise in popularity not just in her home country but across borders as well. Known for her fun personality and energetic presence on social media, Hania has become a favorite among Indian fans. Her dance videos on Bollywood tracks, frequent Instagram updates, and appearances at events like Diljit Dosanjh’s concert have added to her cross-border fame.

Last year, she attended Dosanjh’s “Dil-Luminati” concert in London, where she was invited on stage after being spotted in the audience. Her presence was widely covered by Indian media. She was also seen dancing to the Bollywood song Ding Dong Bole at a friend’s wedding, adding to her appeal among Indian fans. On another occasion, she was linked with rapper Badshah, who later clarified at Sahitya AajTak 2024, “Hania is a very good friend of mine, and we share a great connection. We have a lot of fun whenever we meet, and that’s all there is to it.”

Nadia Khan’s Strong Reaction

However, not everyone seems pleased with Hania’s growing connection to Indian entertainment. Veteran Pakistani actress and TV host Nadia Khan recently voiced her disapproval of Hania’s choices. On the talk show Kya Drama Hai With Mukarram Kaleem, Nadia criticised Hania for focusing on her Indian audience.


A clip from the show went viral in which Nadia stated, “Time waste kar rahi hai Hania… Yeh jo India ki PR ho rahi hai. She is wasting her time… because past mein hum dekh chuke hai.” She added that past experiences have shown such efforts often lead nowhere due to the earlier ban on Pakistani artists in Indian cinema.


Referring to reports of Hania’s upcoming project with singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, Nadia further remarked, “Sunna hai jo woh movie kar rahi hai Diljit ke saath…. woh abhi se shuru hogaya ke bhai ban karo usse. Yeh itna time waste karne ke bajaye kahin aur lagaein.. Yeh networking ka koi fayda nahi hai.”

Public Reactions and Divided Opinions

Nadia’s statements drew immediate backlash from social media users. Many criticised her views, calling them unnecessary. One Instagram user commented, “Khud ka flop career hai.. just seriously jealous.” Another remarked, “This is the first time I am agreeing with Nadia but she is right.”

Some users agreed with Nadia’s opinion, pointing to past examples like actors Saba Qamar and Sajal Aly, who worked in Indian films but continued their careers mostly in Pakistan. A user noted, “Fawad also wasted his prime years just because he wanted to work in films there.”

Others questioned the intention behind Indian media’s sudden interest in Hania, stating, “All Indian pages sharing Hania’s PR when they are not even following her is not right.”
