Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s ex-fiancé Ken Urker dies at 33 on his birthday: What happened and who was he?

Ken Urker, the former fiancé of Gypsy Rose Blanchard has died at 33. He was also the father of her daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, according to a report from TMZ. His family member found Urker unresponsive at a home in Louisiana on Thursday. It was also his birthday, and he would have turned 34.

Gypsy texted Ken to wish him a happy birthday but did not receive a response. PEOPLE reported that Gypsy’s brother Dylan Blanchard and his wife found him at the Louisiana home. Ken’s sister also confirmed his death on a live TikTok on Oct 1 evening. She also revealed that his last words to her were “I love you.”

Who was Ken Urker?

Ken Urker and Gypsy Rose Blanchard connected first while Gypsy was serving a prison sentence for her role in the 2015 killing of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.

Urker proposed to her and later they called off their engagement in 2018. The pair were seen together in Louisiana in 2024. Their relationship became an important part of Gypsy’s life after prison. It was also featured in the Lifetime series Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up. The couple later welcomed their first child together.

Gypsy and Ken share a daughter, Aurora Raina Urker. Aurora was born on December 28, 2024, according to PEOPLE. She was born almost exactly one year after Gypsy was released from prison. Ken publicly celebrated becoming a father. Gypsy also spoke about his role as a father and their plans for their family.
