Ken Urker, aged 34, was found dead inside his home located in Raceland, Louisiana on October 1 which was also his birthday. As per the report by the Lafourche Sheriff’s Office, law enforcers received an alert at about 6:15 p.m., responding to which they found the man dead.
According to an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine, dated October 2, Blanchard believed that her boyfriend had suffered from an overdose and did not know other important facts. “I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” she said to the outlet. "He was not in a good state of mind lately," she added, and also stated that she did not know what substance he had taken.

The distinction is important since the overdose was not officially announced as the cause or manner of death by the authorities.
A sudden loss for their daughter
Blanchard also addressed the intense online attention surrounding Urker, saying he faced “relentless cyberbullying” on platforms including TikTok and Reddit. She said she hoped their daughter would remember him for who he was rather than through online commentary.
“I believe the tremendous weight of that scrutiny and harassment had a profound impact on him, and I hope his passing serves as a reminder that there is a real person behind every screen, every headline, and every comment,” Blanchard said as cited by PEOPLE.
Investigation remains ongoing
The circumstances surrounding Urker’s death remain under investigation, meaning questions about the substance involved, the medical cause of death and whether the overdose was accidental or intentional have not been publicly resolved. Blanchard has asked for privacy for Aurora, their families and others grieving his death.
