This year, the India Inc bosses found a special way to celebrate Guru Purnima.
Nita Ambani, founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation (the philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries Limited), hosted a special show 'Parampara - A Guru Purnima Special' at The Grand Theatre at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex in Jio World Convention Centre.
To mark the second day of 'Parampara', the businesswoman recited the guru mantra on stage for the audience.
The celebrations were led by a renowned family that is known for its rich legacy of Indian Classical music, dating back to the 17th century.
"The performance by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his family represents a remarkable symphony of life. It is a convergence of musical heritage that transcends time and celebrates the coming together of three extraordinary generations – a maestro of all time, the torchbearers of today, and the proteges." Mrs Ambani said, concluding her speech with the scared chant of guru vandana.
At the event, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan said that a mother is a child’s first guru.
Meanwhile, billionaire businessman Anand Mahindra posted a special condolence message for his Aunt Sudha, who passed away on Monday morning on an auspicious day. Sudha Mahindra died less than three months after her late industrialist-husband Keshub Mahindra's demise.
Showering praises for his aunt, the Mahindra Group Chairman said that she nurtured and protected her family. "She is in a far better place now and I’m sure she is happy to be reunited with my late Uncle Keshub. I also know that she would be happy to have made her transition on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima. I will always remember her for how she nurtured and protected her family and bore every loss with courage and compassion. Om Shanti," he tweeted alongside a throwback picture of his uncle and aunt.
