Guillermo del Toro in talks to direct 'Fantastic Voyage'

LOS ANGELES: Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is in talks with 20th Century Fox and James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment to develop and direct "Fantastic Voyage" remake.

The remake of the 1966 sci-fi movie will reunite del Toro with Cameron, and also David Goyer, the screenwriter of his action horror movie, "Blade 2", said The Hollywood Reporter.

"Voyage" revolves around a team of scientists, who are shrunk to atomic size to save the life of a scientist, who is dying of blood clot. The miniaturized scientists are sent in a miniature submarine inside the body of the dying.

Directors Roland Emmerich, Paul Greengrass and Shawn Levy were also considered for the remake, that has been in development for many years. SHD SHD
