The chess mastermind tweeted this after the match —“What a match. Sporting masterpiece. No draws in tennis says Roger. Chess maybe? Our draws are a different ball game.”


Given that Federer said he would have shared the trophy with Nadal, drawing a chess match with the world number 2 is a bit of a stretch. Maybe it’s time for a hybrid premier league, if anyone’s listening?.
