Graduation day! Isha Ambani completes MBA, receives degree from Stanford

The Ambani family has another reason to celebrate, and this time it's daughter Isha's graduation from Stanford. The Ambani heiress has completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Stanford Business School, and received her degree at the University's 127th Commencement ceremony, that featured the traditional Wacky Walk and an address by award-winning actor Sterling K. Brown.


Stanford president Marc Tessier-Lavigne was all praise for Brown, calling him "an eloquent role model for an entire generation, inspiring us with moving performances that not only bring life to each character, but also impart to the world a deeper understanding of society.” Brown himself happens to be an alumnus, earning a bachelor’s degree in drama in 1998.


Isha is among the 2,460 students who have been awarded a master’s degree this year. While business runs in her genes, she also chose to follow in her mother’s footsteps during her time at the University. She took up a teaching job at the Stanford nursery, while studying the intricacies of business and management. Education has always been close to Nita Ambani's heart. She founded, and runs the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. But the connection goes back to before she got married when she was a school teacher.

Isha, who is engaged to Piramal scion Anand, had earlier completed her Psychology and South Asian Studies from Yale. The couple is expected to tie the knot this winter.
