Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja says Hero No 1 has tried to be ‘sugar daddy’ to various starlets
Sunita Ahuja has spoken out about her husband Govinda's alleged infidelity, expressing concern for their children and criticizing his behavior at 63. She believes aspiring actresses manipulate senior stars for financial gain. Govinda, however, den...

During her conversation with Miss Malini, Sunita addressed her earlier remarks about Govinda’s supposed affairs. She explained that her primary concern has always been the impact such controversies have on their children, who are now adults. According to her, these situations tend to disturb the family environment. She added that she frequently reminds Govinda that this stage of life is not meant for such behaviour. Sunita further shared her belief that many aspiring actresses today seek financial security from senior stars, relying on them to manage their expenses. She alleged that some individuals, despite lacking the necessary talent or appearance, aspire to become heroines and resort to manipulation, eventually attempting to exploit or emotionally pressure the men they pursue.
Sunita and Govinda have shared a marriage spanning more than 38 years and are parents to two children, Yashvardan and Tina. Elaborating further, Sunita remarked that while such women may be numerous, Govinda is not naïve. She stressed that at the age of 63, with a stable family, a devoted spouse, and grown-up children, such actions are inappropriate. She acknowledged that mistakes made in one’s youth can be understandable, as people often act impulsively when they are young. However, she firmly stated that repeating such behaviour later in life is unacceptable and lacks justification.
These remarks follow a series of interviews in which Sunita has openly accused Govinda of being involved in multiple relationships outside their marriage. The actor, however, has strongly denied these allegations. In a statement given to news agency ANI, Govinda defended himself by explaining that remaining silent is often misinterpreted as weakness or an admission of guilt. He stated that this perception prompted him to finally speak out. Govinda claimed he was informed that certain members of his family might be unknowingly drawn into a larger plot, without realising they were being used during its early stages. He further suggested that Sunita herself may have been unknowingly placed at the forefront of what he described as a broader conspiracy, positioning her as the first person to be affected.
The ongoing exchange has sparked widespread discussion, bringing renewed focus on the couple’s long-standing marriage and their contrasting public narratives.
