Govinda's niece Arti Singh reacts to rumours of his divorce from wife Sunita

Speculation can spread at an alarming rate, but Arti Singh is stepping in to set the record straight. Earlier today, reports surfaced suggesting that Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, might be on the verge of ending their 37-year marriage. However, the couple has yet to confirm or refute these claims. In the midst of this buzz, News18 reached out exclusively to Govinda’s niece, Arti Singh, who dismissed the rumors as completely unfounded.

Speaking to News18, Singh stated, “I am honestly not in Mumbai right now so I haven’t gotten in touch with anybody. But let me tell you something: this is false news. These are just speculations because their bond is so strong. They have built a strong and loving relationship over the years so how can they get divorced? I don’t know where people get all such rumours from; they are completely untrue. People should refrain from spreading misinformation about their personal lives. In fact, news about my divorce had also broken out for no reason. Such baseless gossip only creates unnecessary stress."

Recently, Sunita Ahuja has made multiple public appearances, whereas Govinda has remained noticeably absent. According to a report by The Now India, their marriage is reportedly on the brink of collapse, with a potential divorce looming.


Meanwhile, News18 Showsha reached out to both Sunita Ahuja and their daughter, Tina Ahuja, for a statement, but as of the time of publication, neither had responded.

Adding fuel to the speculation, Sunita Ahuja made a striking revelation about their marriage in an interview last month. She disclosed that she and Govinda do not reside together. While she stays in an apartment with their children, the actor lives separately in a bungalow situated right across from them. Addressing their choice to live apart, Sunita candidly admitted that while she once felt secure in their marriage, she no longer shares the same sense of certainty.
