Google's simple Mother's Day doodle wins hearts

The doodle shows the journey of a mother-child duo during the nurturing years.

Search engine giant Google dedicated the second Sunday of May to mothers around the world.

The simple doodle is a GIF of four special animated images that show a special mother-child bond. The slides of the grainy images are placed between the letters 'GO' and 'GLE'.

The doodle shows various small lessons a mother teaches her children during the nurturing years. From learning to washing their hands to planting trees and teaching the young ones to study, the heartwarming doodle displays how a mother guide's her child to become a caring human being.


One image also shows a child holding the mother's little finger (pinkie).

With a special doodle, the company wrote on its doodle website, "Happy Mother's Day!" with a red heart emoji.

Once clicked on the doodle, Google throws the searches around Mother's Day - from top stories to its Wikipedia page.

On the occasion of Earth Day 2022 on April 22, Google dedicated the artwork of Google Doodle to raise awareness about climate change.

The Earth Day doodle featured real imagery from Glacier retreat at the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa, Sermersooq Glacier retreat in Greenland, Great Barrier Reef in Australia and Harz Forests in Germany, all having witnessed the impact of climate crisis in some form or another.

The artwork showcased real time-lapse imagery from Google Earth Timelapse and other sources to show the impact of climate change across different regions. It also included a variety of GIFs created from photos of real locations, all taken over several years. Each time-lapse GIF was displayed for a few hours throughout the day, according to Mashable.
