Google India's head Rajan Anandan has taken up the '21-day standing challenge', but it turns out that he is standing up for women too.

He unveiled the company's new social campaign #ReachForTheSky in association with actor Farhan Akhtar's MARD initiative on Tuesday, to increase the number of women internet users.

During the event, Anandan urged everyone to get at least one woman to use the internet. Asked if he was personally involved in introducing any woman to the virtual world, Anandan's instant reply was, "Of course. Many members of my family including my mum. I now plan to get many more." The transition, it has come to light, has been done through mobile phones.

So while there are enough potential women users to keep the top honcho on his feet, what is the latest on the 'Standing Challenge'? Anandan, still on his toes, breezily responded that it will be over "soon", and stressed that he was loving it.
