Google does an Apple! Tech giant urges developers to build more apps for Pixel Watch
Google has asked developers to build more apps for its first smartwatch based on WearOS.

While Apple does this every year during the WWDC event and after hardware launches with new features for developers to adopt, this is a first for Google.
Google launched its first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch, earlier this month. The smartwatch, which comes with Wear operating system (OS), Fitbit features and a round shaped dial, is made of 80 per cent recycled stainless steel, aligning with tech giant's sustainability goals.
Now as per reports, Google has reached out to the developers and asked them to build more apps for the Pixel Watch based on WearOS. Similarly, every year Apple releases new features for developers to use after the product launches.
Seems like Google is taking a page from Apple's book. In its Android Developers blog, Google highlighted apps for its newly-launched Pixel Watch. "It's an especially great time to prepare your app so it looks great on all of the new watches that consumers will get their hands," according to the Android developer team.
While Apple does this every year during the WWDC event and after hardware launches with new features for developers to adopt, this is a first for Google.
The tech giant's overview notes that the Pixel Watch "includes the latest updates to the platform, Wear OS 3.5." As per reports, the tech giant wants a more seamless integration of messaging between hardware and the OS and development platform team. It also mentions app development tools such as Compose for Wear OS and the Tiles Material library with a strong emphasis on contemporary design.
Apart from this, Google also highlighted Android Studio Dolphin update with improved watch faces, tile, and complication testing experiences.
