Google Cloud Next begins tomorrow: Here's everything you need to know
Google is all set to host its Cloud Next event in San Francisco starting tomorrow. The three-day event, dedicated to cloud technologies, will take place at the Moscone Center till July 26.

The event will see leading IT professionals, developers, engineers, and entrepreneurs come together to share big ideas that can make the cloud stronger. Whether you are interested in learning about Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or want to know about machine learning and AI, there is something for everyone on the schedule.

The event comes just weeks after Google Cloud COO Diane Bryant left her post in less than a year. Whether Google will talk about plans to address the vacancy, is not yet known. But on the agenda is a session on 'Women in Tech Social' on Day 1.

The event will also run bootcamps and hands-on-labs.

Bootcamps include half-day and full-day training courses that cover intermediate to advanced technical topics. They are designed to help attendees build their practical skills and theoretical knowledge

The hands-on labs offers practical experience to learn new skills, earn badges, and explore the latest capabilities of Google Cloud. Whether you’re learning to spin up your first virtual machine or are already a Kubernetes master, it's apt for everyone.

You’ll be able to point your phone’s camera at text in the real world — say, a written down Wi-Fi password — grab that text, and then paste it into a text field on your smartphone. And now it’s also going to help you buy fashionable things. Google Lens still isn’t perfect at identifying precise items of clothing, but Google thinks it can get close enough. The company is introducing a new “style match” feature that will scan something the camera is pointed at and help you buy it from internet retailers. Sounds like a dream come true for Pinterest fans. But will Amazon be among those stores?
