Looking for discounts? Google Chrome’s Track Prices makes shopping effortless

Much to the delight of shopaholics, Google Chrome has come out with a feature that could save you money. The browser now lets users know about the price drop on their chosen products.

‘Track Prices’, Chrome’s latest offering can quite literally help users stay abreast of price fluctuations. The latest feature potentially reduces the need to revisit websites or frequent bouts of refreshing the page.

According to a Google blog post, the new feature is now available on Chrome for Android in the US; however, it will be launched on iOS in the coming weeks.


The browser essentially implements a new overlay on the tab grid to show the new price of the products. In the case of multiple products in multiple tabs, users will get to see separate overlays for each tab. This allows users to track the prices of numerous products at one go.

How to enable Track Prices:

• Open Chrome on Android and go to the three vertical dots on the top right corner
• ‘Track Prices’ would be among the options
• To view the feature the user needs to update their Chrome browsers

According to Google’s blog, the new feature also lets users search with a snapshot from the address bar, easy and quick access to the shopping cart, hassle-free password setting, and most importantly offers the simplest checkout process.

Earlier this week, Google recently updated the Chrome stable channel to 96.0.4664.93 for Windows, Mac and Linux, which is available for all users. The security fixes were released to mitigate the threats from remote attackers.

Users can install the update on Chrome by clicking the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the browser. One needs to click the About Chrome option to update the browser.
