​Good news for fans! Jahnvi Kapoor to star in Gunjan Saxena's biopic, will release in March next year

Janhvi Kapoor will essay the role of India's first woman combat aviator to fly into a war zone, Gunjan Saxena, in her next film.
Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who debuted with 'Dhadak' last year, is set to essay the role of India's first woman combat aviator to fly into a war zone, Gunjan Saxena, in her next. Titled, 'Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl', the film is slated to release in March next year. Karan Johar will turn producer for the film and it will be presented by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions.

On Twitter, Johar announced the release date of the film along with two posters.

"She was told ladkiyan pilot nahin banti (girls don't become pilots), but she stood her ground and wanted to fly! Gunjan Saxena - #TheKargilGirl releasing on 13th March, 2020," he wrote.

Sharing two posters from the film, the film-maker also tweeted, "With unabashed courage and bravery, she made her domain in a man's world".

The film is directed by Sharan Sharma, who shares writing credits with Nikhil Mehrotra. Hussain Dalal has been credited with additional dialogue writing.

It also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Viineet Singh, Angad Bedi and Manav Vij.
