Golf taught Haw Par Corporation's AK Han about life: Be honest even when no one's watching
If a player is lying about his score on the golf course, the person can’t be trusted in the boardroom, according to the top boss.

“Golf taught me the value of being honest with oneself, even when no one is watching,” he says for starters.
Han says, “It’s easy to lie about how many times you hit the ball in the hole. You may have got zero out of five attempts and still lie and tell friends on your way out that you got five out of five.”
But if Han figures out that if a player is lying about his score on the golf course, he knows that the person can’t be trusted even in the boardroom. “That’s just the way it is,” he says with a smile.
