The Golden Globes are back with scale, star power, and a noticeably broader global lens. The 83rd edition of the awards promises a packed night at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, with major Hollywood names, buzzy international films, and high-profile television series competing across categories. With new ownership in place and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association now disbanded, the voting body has expanded to include a wider group of overseas critics, reshaping the awards’ direction and energy this year.

A major highlight of the 2026 Golden Globe Awards is the dominance of One Battle After Another. The politically charged film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio Del Toro, and Sean Penn, leads the film race with 9 nominations, making it the most nominated title of the night. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the film is also one of the strongest favourites heading into the ceremony. It will compete closely with critically acclaimed titles such as Sinners and Sentimental Value.

The ceremony will be hosted once again by Nikki Glaser and will air live on January 11. The awards will be broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT, 6:30 am IST, with live streaming available on Paramount+ for premium subscribers. The event returns to its traditional home at the Beverly Hilton, continuing a long-standing Golden Globes tradition.
