Godrej family celebrates the birth centenary of Burjor Godrej

It was a day devoted to family — when the Godrej clan came out in full strength last week to celebrate the birth centenary of Burjor Godrej, father of Adi and Nadir Godrej. Adi Godrej's wife Parmeshwar made a rare public appearance, along with children Tanya, Nisaba and Pirojsha, and her grandkids.

Amidst the nostalgia of a rare picture presentation from the archives, the Godrej brothers went down memory lane over what they learnt from their father, sometimes at the dinner table. "I realised afterwards that those dinner conversations helped me tremendously," Adi Godrej said to the gathering that included guests like Uday Kotak. Nadir Godrej was quick to point out, "Adi can still tell you the capitals of all countries. Burgis and Hormusji (Nadir's sons) can also do that because it goes from generation to generation."
