Go for gold this new year with Huawei Nexus 6P

Google is now taking preorders for the special edition gold version of the Huawei Nexus 6P smartphone in India. The device is on preorder with the release not expected to commence until December 29 at least.

Crafted from aeronauticalgrade anodised aluminium with diamond-cut edges for a smooth finish, it looks and feels good in your hand. With the latest version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, the performance is expected to be fast, powered by a 3,450 mAh battery that will last all day long.

The 64GB model of the smartphone is on offer carrying a price tag of Rs 43,999. This is a Rs 1,000 premium on the standard silver and grey models of the handset with the same storage capacities. But given that the model being offered here is slightly premium in terms of appearance, the bump in price is understandable.

Interestingly, India is one of the few markets to be included in the rollout of the gold version of the Nexus 6P as this variant was launched as an exclusive for the Japanese markets initially. With wider global availability commencing soon, you can expect the price to come down.
