"You can only reach great heights in life if you know how to sweat it out physically. It is crucial to foster a ‘fitness curiosity’ especially during these unprecedented times when most of us are confined to our homes due to the Covid-19 pandemic," he told ET Panache.
Over the years, Ogra has managed to sustain his efforts to stay fit, motivated and energised through something he truly enjoys – trekking.
"I’m deeply passionate about trekking and make sure to grab every opportunity that comes my way. Among my various expeditions every year, one that is very close to my heart is the trek to the holy cave of Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir. I visited the shrine every year living in J&K in the 1980s.
The trek was unfortunately suspended for a few years post-1990. I have now resumed this annual trek for the past six years. It fulfills my passion and helps me spiritually connect with God," he said. Once the lockdown ends, he is hoping to resume trekking.
Fitness helps one stay focused and sharp through everyday activities believes Ogra.

When it comes to his daily fitness the Sterling and Wilson Solar global CEO does a combination of aerobics and strength exercises. "They help me stretch myself and stay fit. I make sure to follow this fitness routine for at least 4-5 days in a week. This is extremely challenging to maintain in the lockdown, but I try my best and utilise every possible opportunity to stick to this regimen," he said.
Fitness helps one stay focused and sharp through everyday activities believes Ogra. Mental fitness is very important, too.
"Yoga and meditation bring peace and help one maintain a calm and measured approach to life. They help connect the mind, body and soul to live a simple life and also heal from inside. I have only recently begun my journey with yoga and meditation during the lockdown, and I must say I’m finding it extremely useful in achieving clarity of thought and peace of mind," he shared.
A healthy attitude brings happiness and helps one live a relatively stress-free and disease-free life, feels Ogra.
