Gionee Elife S5.1 specifications revealed before launch date

Isn't it great when you get access to information about a product way before it is launched in the market? The specs of the rumored ultra-slim GN9005 by Gionee have been revealed before its official debut.

According to the Chinese publication CNMO.com, which seems to have early access to the phone, the unreleased device will be just 5.15mm thick and will carry the Elife S5.1 branding. CNMO.com has also stated that the phone will run Android 4.3 with Amigo UI 2.0 and feature a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

It will also have 16GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM as well as a 4.8-inch 1280x720p AMOLED display. The Gionee Elife S5.1 will also sport a 5MP front camera, 8MP rear camera, 4G LTE support, and a 2100 mAh battery.

Industry enthusiasts have been quick to note that the specifications of the unreleased Elife S5.1 are pretty much the same as the Elife S5.5, apart from the thickness of the phone that the company seems to have just reduced in the new and unreleased version.

The Gionee Elife S5.1 is said to go on sale sometime this month in Black, White, Turquoise, and Pink color options. An official announcement is expected in the coming days, so watch this space for more.
