In 2010, Chander's life changed when he joined the Family Of Disabled (FOD) foundation. Recalling his first day, he said, "From the very first day, I felt like I belonged. It felt like I was doing something meaningful—making pencils for kids, crafting wedding gifts, learning new handicrafts."

The organization provided not only employment opportunities but also a sense of community. "We became a family. Khana-peena, dukh-sukh—sab mein saath the," he expressed.

Jeet Adani’s Wedding Order

A significant milestone came when FOD received an order for Jeet Adani’s wedding. The opportunity was both exciting and nerve-wracking for Chander and his team. "Hume toh samajh hi nahi aaya yeh kaise hogaya? Par hume pata tha ki jab tak saath hai, sab ho jayga!" he recalled. Their hard work paid off, as Jeet and Diva Adani, along with their wedding guests, were thrilled with the handcrafted gifts. "When they saw the gifts, they were ecstatic. Even the guests loved what we had made," he shared with pride.

Fifteen years later since his life changed forever, Chander remains dedicated to his work with FOD, finding joy and purpose in every project. "I've been here for 15 years, and I'm happy," he stated.
