Gauri Spratt reveals the one thing about Aamir Khan that made her fall in love

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan made headlines recently when he officially introduced his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, to the media during a pre-birthday gathering. The event, held on March 13 ahead of his 60th birthday, saw the actor sharing details about their relationship and the bond they share. Gauri Spratt, originally from Bengaluru, spoke openly about what attracted her to Aamir Khan at the same event.

Sharing her thoughts with the media, she said, "I wanted someone who was kind, a gentleman, and just caring." In a light-hearted moment, Aamir responded with a smile, "And after all that, you found me?"

The couple had known each other for over 25 years but had lost touch. It was only two years ago that they reconnected and gradually developed a relationship. Speaking about his feelings, Aamir shared, "I was looking for someone I can be calm with, who gives me peace. And there she was."

Gauri’s Limited Exposure to Bollywood

Unlike many who admire Aamir Khan for his work in cinema, Gauri Spratt isn’t deeply familiar with his films. The actor revealed, "She grew up in Bangalore, and her exposure was to different kinds of films and arts. So she doesn’t watch Hindi films. She has probably not seen much of my work, either." Gauri confirmed this, admitting that she has only watched Lagaan and Dil Chahta Hai.

Despite her limited Bollywood background, Aamir emphasized that their relationship is built on personal connection rather than stardom. "She doesn’t see me as a superstar but as a partner," he said, adding that he wants her to watch Taare Zameen Par.

Future Plans and Handling Media Attention

While Aamir and Gauri are in a committed relationship, marriage is not currently on the cards. "See, we are fully committed. And I have been married twice. Par ab 60 saal ki umar mein shaadi shayad mujhe shobha nahi degi (Now getting married at 60 wouldn’t suit me). But let’s see," the actor remarked.

With Gauri now in the public eye, Aamir has been preparing her for the intense media attention that comes with being his partner. He mentioned, "I have tried to tell her how it will be, the media madness, and prepare her somewhat for it. She isn’t used to it. But we are hoping that you guys will be kind." He also confirmed that security measures have been put in place for her safety.

Who is Gauri Spratt?

Gauri Spratt is an entrepreneur with a diverse background. She has a mixed heritage—half-Tamilian and half-Irish—and pursued a fashion course at the University of the Arts, London, in 2004. She currently runs a BBlunt salon in Mumbai and is working at Aamir Khan Productions. Reports suggest she is also a mother to a six-year-old child.

Before his relationship with Gauri, Aamir Khan was married twice—first to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira, and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he has a son, Azaad.

On the work front, Aamir Khan is gearing up for his next film, Sitaare Zameen Par, slated for release on December 25. The film is reportedly inspired by the Spanish sports drama Champions. Additionally, he is producing Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol and written by Javed Akhtar.
