As Gauri Khan turns 51, daughter Suhana wishes mother on birthday with a throwback picture of her & SRK

Gauri Khan, wife of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, turns 51 today as her son, Aryan's bail plea is taken up by a Mumbai court for hearing. The interior designer's birthday falls on a day where her entire family waits for the court's verdict on the 23-year-old's the bail plea in drugs case.

Suhana, Gauri's daughter, who is currently in New York finishing her studies, took to her official Instagram account to reminisce the old times. The 21-year-old wished mother on her 51st birthday by sharing an old picture of Gauri and SRK. Suhana shared the throwback picture with a simple message.

"Happy birthday ma," she wrote along with a heart emoji.


The picture shows Gauri cocooned in Shah Rukh Khan's arms as the two gaze deeply in the distance.

This is the first time anyone from the Khan family has shared anything on the social media since Aryan's arrest in NCB's drugs case. The 23-year-old, along with sever others, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau earlier this month during a raid on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast. Since Aryan's arrest, nor Gauri or Shah Rukh have made any public appearance or given any statement on the matter.

Reportedly, SRK even cancelled an advertisement shoot with Ajay Devgn scheduled for Thursday. As per the report in timesofindia.com, all the preparations for the shoot were in place with Devgn present on the set, however, the 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' star cancelled the shooting last minute. Meanwhile, several known names from the industry have come out in support of SRK and his family including Shashi Tharoor, who urged people to show empathy towards Aryan, Pooja Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Hansal Mehta and Susanne Khan.

A court in Mumbai today will hear the bail plea filed by Aryan in the drugs case. The NCB will most likely counter the bail request and seek further custody of the accused. On Thursday, the court had sent Aryan and seven others to judicial custody as their NCB remand came to an end after three-hour-long hearing.
