'Game of Thrones' fifth season to premiere April 12

NEW YORK: The fifth season of fantasy drama series " Game of Thrones" is set to air from April 12.

TV series "Veep" , "Silicon Valley" along with the popular American drama will return to HBO, the network announced recently at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

"Game of Thrones" is a contender for the best television series - drama prize at the upcoming Golden Globes, while "Silicon Valley" is up for best television series - musical or comedy.

"Veep" was snubbed in that category, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who's won three consecutive Emmys for the show, is a best actress in a television series - musical or comedy nominee.
